Looks like dark days ahead
Well commiserations to my fellow left-wing Britons,It will be 1979 all over again.Hopefully there will be some decent civil unrest and hopefully they will be voted out after 4yrs.
What about Clegg though? a bit of a fair-weather liberal.
Since we will be going back to an eighties style Britain,Here’s the Style Council,maybe they will re-release this.

Dark days indeed binga, but I dont think the labour party where too keen to hang on to power. With all the cuts needed to balance the economic books this government will be as popular as Thatcher. The liberals will loose all credibility in Scotland for siding with the tories, and I predict a nationalist victory in the 2011 scottish parliament elections. The next general election will be a landslide for labour (although they need to get rid of the shackles of Blair/Brown and move in a old direction…left?); the liberals and tories will hopefully be unelectable for a further few decades! In the middle of the social meltdown that will follow this unholy alliance thats something to look forward too? And if it all ends in rioting in the streets, the burning of banks, the raising of the red flag once again in George Square, then I could live with that as well……….

Over the past week I’ve quite enjoyed muttering ‘Tory Bastard’ at the telly- taking me back to the heady days of the 80s when the phrase was all the rage in ma hoose. I’m startin to sober up now though…
Still relieved that it’s not as bad as it could have been, but when you look at senior positions now held, like the turd Hague as Foreign Secretary, it’s almost enough to make ye pine for that Milliband.
Not quite, though.

It will be interesting how things pan out.I think the people who will be most angry about it all will be left leaning liberals and right leaning tories.Labour will have to rebrand itself I was thinking it could call itself the Revolutionary Labour party ,bring back the Militant group and have old Tony Benn as it’s leader.This would suit me and give us the change in Economic direction we need,not just in Britain but the world.
Hague being the foreign secretary just makes me laugh.I hope the Johnny foreigners don’t think we all speak like him.

yes im interested to see how it will work. i think it has to be better for scotland than a full tory government, maybe the libs can restrain the tories from fucking everything up.
im willing to give it a chance and see how they do. like Pine says the libs have burned alot of peoples fingers and surely Clegg would have to go by the next election which could be as soon as 1 year if the coalition doesnt work.

I do think that it is a victory in some ways as Mr McNulty mentions as the tories thought they would win easily only a month or so ago.
I feel sorry for any public sector workers as tory cuts will hit them.
Instead of raising taxes especially on the wealthy these dicks are just going to cut education health etc.
Just like the Republicans over here.
