Election

April 28, 2010

What do you think? The press over here report it will probably be a hung parliament.I think that will be quite good as the Liberals seem to have  good policies . It will be interesting if they push for proportional representation,it could change British politics forever.

Here are some facts about a hung parliament.

I sent away to Amazon.co.uk for an assortment of the popular childrens shows from my childhood for me and Katie to watch together when I am home with her,

The kids programmes I purchased

I then went and bought this while I was at it as I was paying shipping from the UK anyway.

Yes Simple Minds a visual history,It occured to me that as I approach 40 I have started to live life in the past and I’m not really interested in recent popular culture. I am getting old and predictable.I never thought I would be like that but its true what they say,it happens to us all.

Anybody else living in the past, come on share your old age stories.

Anyway here is a belter of a Simple Minds song.

I saw this wee cartoon the other day,I like the story and the animation, but it also reminds you of a time when sportsmen were not all spoiled corporate whores(see tiger woods) and were not that far removed from the punters.

I watched these 3 films over the Easter week,They were really good and had most of the good British actors of the day are in it.It is a really dark Trilogy of films you have to watch them all as the stories intertwine over 9yrs. I ordered the books from Amazon as I wanted to read them all,There are 4 books in the series 1977 is not included in the films but is the 2nd book.

The thing is I never knew they were written by David Peace who wrote the book The Damned Utd which was the last film I raved about.Just one of they wee coincidences that pop up.

Definetly give this Trilogy of films 5 stars.
